Earthquake!

Mommy and I just felt an earthquake! We were in the car at a stoplight on the way home from McDonald's. Mommy thought it felt weird how the car was shaking around and wondered why the road would be shaking like that! When we got home we saw on the TV that there had just been a big earthquake! And we got to feel it!

It was up in LA, though, and nothing bad has been reported so far. If this is what earthquakes are all about, I like 'em!

So, just wanted to let you all know that we are fine!

Hello everybody!

Sorry we didn't put up any new pictures yesterday, but we were busy. Mommy and I went to my music class and had a great time dancing around. I especially liked banging the cymbals together! Next week we'll take some pictures.

Here's a video of me from this morning. Mommy had to come in and wake me up at about 9:30 so I could get ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa Holko's house. I like to play games with mommy in the morning, and it takes forever just to get me out of bed. But, I am ALWAYS in a good mood in the morning. Mom said she's not sure how that happened...

Crayons

Daddy is home! And we played together all day yesterday. I think Grandpa Ken missed me, too. He came over to play with me yesterday. He got to see my new wagon, and I even talked him into giving me a ride around the yard!



This morning daddy had to go back to work, so it's just me and mommy again. She is trying really hard to find things for me to do and thought I might like to learn how to color. Well, guess what? I LOVE coloring. I made a special picture for Gramma Jojo when she come to visit me! Here are a few pictures of me drawing this morning.

Goin' on a lion hunt

I went on a lion hunt today.

Armed with my trusty spatula, I set out into the jungle.

I think I have spotted one! Do you see it there in the distance?

Sigh...What to do now? I must be very careful and very quiet as I sneak up on this lion.

Froot Loops

I'm not sure if anybody knows this, but my most favorite thing to eat in the whole wide world are Froot Loops! Mommy lets me have a big bowl of them for breakfast sometimes, and then we sit on the couch and watch cartoons together. It makes me very happy!

Sorry we didn't post anything yesterday. On Tuesday morning mommy and I went to my "music and movement" class. I get to play all kinds of instruments and dance around with a bunch of other little kids. Those of you who know me will be surprised to hear that I am actually quite shy at first. Sometimes I forget that I want to be shy and I dance around like a crazy man, but then I remember and run and sit on mommy's lap!

And then yesterday, I got to meet a new friend. Mommy and I went to help another mommy with her garden, and I got to play with her little girl, named Abigail. Both mommy and I made a new friend and had a really nice time visiting!

For dinner last night, Aunt Sarah came over and then we went to the Mexican food restaurant near our house. Mommy likes it there because it's close and the food is good, but I LOVE it there because it is right next to the airport. And there are PLANES at the airport. I can spot a plane before mommy can every time, and I yelled each and every time a plane took off and flew by the window. I had a great time!

My new toy

I got a new toy!!! Mommy really doesn't buy me a lot of toys (I have dogs and dirt...I don't need much more), but she thought I would like to play with this one in our yard. And I LOVE IT!

Mommy told me I could put things in my wagon and pull them around the yard. So look what I put in there - ME!

What a weekend!

Mommy and I spent the weekend trying to entertain ourselves while daddy is out of town.

Mommy had a fun night watching movies with Aunt Sarah on Saturday, and we went to a sandcastle building competition with her today, too!

I found some OTHER ways to entertain myself, though. Wait til you see these videos...

And then since I was all wet, mommy took off my shirt and diaper so we could go in and take a bath. I had a better idea!

Eatin' Cookies

Daddy left us today to go on his fishing trip with Grandpa Ken and Uncle Brett. Mommy and I were feeling a little sad this afternoon thinking about not having him around til next weekend, so we made cookies! Cookies always make me feel better. And when I get cookie all over my face, it makes mommy laugh!

And look at what a big boy I am sitting on my stool! Nevermind that I'm not wearing pants and my shirt is dirty...

Sorry it took a little while get get something posted today! I am visiting my Grandma and Grandpa Holko today before they go on their trips, so mommy was busy getting things done without my help this morning. And since Gramma Jojo is not at work today, she wasn't expecting a picture...so we kinda forgot about it. Sorry everybody. Buy, hey, thanks for the text messages (Aunt Kelly) to make sure mommy felt bad about not getting anything up here right away!

Here's a little video of my playing with my dogs. They can't figure out why they can't get at that ball. I'm not entirely sure what's happening either, but it is definitely funny!

(BTW, this video is from last week. Chewy is feeling much better now and no longer has a cone on his head.)

As you can see, pretty much all mommy and I did today was play outside. It's way more fun to play out in the yard than it is to play in the house. And my dogs get very happy when we come out to play. They really like to chase me around when I steal their toys. Mommy says that was all part of her plan. It was a happy day for her when I learned to throw the toys for Chewy and Obi! We'll try to get some pictures of us playing together...

Fourth of July Fun

Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the Fourth of July. We spent the day (and night!) over at Grandma and Grandpa Holko's house. Chewy and Obi got to come, too! I swam in the pool and ran around all afternoon! I got so tired that I didn't even wake up when mommy and daddy finally decided to come to bed!

Here are a few pictures of me and mommy before we went to the party. She said she didn't have enough pictures of just the two of us. Look how nice we look with our matching shirts!

Pay no attention to what daddy and uncle Brett are talking about in the background. It's probably no good.

My camera had dead batteries so we thought we'd try to capture the cuteness on the webcam. After a glowing review from the critics, we decided that we will have to record more videos!

Well, after almost a year and a half of sending out a Picture of the Day (POD), every day, it has come to our attention that many of our loyal subscribers have no room left in their inboxes for more pictures and videos.

As a solution to this problem, we will now be posting our daily pictures and/or videos here for all to enjoy, attachment and download free. Save your inbox space for things that are actually work related - you can get all the Jacob you need right here!

HOWEVER, it is a bit more of a task to do this as it requires more steps than just sending out our regular emails. In light of this, we fully expect to be receiving comments on at least a fairly regular basis so that we know it is worth our time. If we don't...well, it's back to filling up your inboxes!
