Hangin' Out

Yesterday, Jake wasn't feeling great. he had a little bit of a fever and pretty much stayed on the couch all day.

Now I'm not saying that I'm glad Jake was sick, but wow...it sure is different around here when he's sitting quietly on the couch. Do I look too happy?

And here's Dad. He doesn't get in to too many pictures.

Jake is feeling better today and we are off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a while. I can't imagine what Mom will do all day without us...

Birthday Boy

Oh wow, birthdays are fun!

In case you are wondering why I am wearing a furry hat, it's because I like it. Grandma Susan got me into my jammies and I came out of my room wearing it. Somehow it stayed on for the rest of the night.

Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes today. I am a lucky guy.

Love,
Ryan the one year old

Early Birthday

Check out my new toy!

Gramma Jojo sent this to me for my birthday and said I could open it up right away. I didn't even have to wait!

There are so many things to play with, all in one toy! Jake likes it, too. He's been showing me how to do all of the stuff on it. Pretty cool.

So, THANK YOU Gramma Jojo! I LOVE my toy!

R (the almost one year old)

Polar Bears

Mom, Ryan and I stopped at Starbucks this morning after we finished our shopping at Target.

(Target is the only place we ever seem to shop. Now it has groceries AND a Starbucks inside. Are they all like this? Mom said she's not sure if it is heaven or hell...)

Mom got me a hot cocoa and a polar bear cookie. It was such a cute polar bear. He had a nice red scarf around his neck.

And then I ate his head.

Anyone else disturbed by this?

Love,
J

Jake's Pics

It's been a while since we looked at the pictures on Jake's camera.

Here are a few of the best...

There are also lots of pictures of the walls and the floor, but we'll save those for another day.

Happy Wednesday!

Love,
R

P.S. It's only four days til my birthday. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Just a Normal Wednesday

Actually these next few pictures are from Monday, but check out how OLD I look!

...and these are from this morning. Jacob and I were coloring very quietly. Somehow Mom didn't catch on to this quiet for a little while and I was able to taste those delicious things!

I thought this was all very funny. So did Jake. So did Mom.

Imagine if I have chewed on a RED one...scary baby vampire picture, huh?

And now, some random video clips...

Happy Wednesday!

Go Fish!

Some smart people on our street gave out "stuff" instead of candy for Halloween. Someone gave me this little deck of cards that are made for playing the game WAR.

Mom was pretty happy when I said I wanted to learn how to play. She said she remembers playing this game with her Grampa Ken all the time, and that makes her smile. I actually can't believe she didn't think to teach me this game before now, because it sure is fun! We played A LOT.

Then Daddy taught me another game, and that was even more fun than War! We played Go Fish together and I am SO good at that game.

Happy Monday!

J

Trouble

But the good kind, for sure.

On Wednesday, Kelly and Sabrina came over to play. Jake LOVES Sabrina.

Right now, him being three and all, he loves her because she's really fun to play with...

But, Mom suspects that he's going to still love her when he's a little bit older, too.

So that was our day on Wednesday.

Last night we packed up a picnic and went to watch Daddy's softball game. It was really a lot of fun. It was still so warm out at night (like 85 degrees at 7pm), so we just hung out on our picnic blanket, ate snacks, and cheered Daddy on. Jake really got into the whole cheering thing.

After the game, we walked over to the playground for a little while. On the way there, Mom and Jacob found a great big grassy hill. Then Mom did something crazy. She got down on the ground and started rolling down the hill! Jake tried it and was immediately sold on the idea. They even got Dad to do it and Mommy laughed so hard she almost peed in her pants. Dad looked and sounded like a cartoon character rolling down that hill. So fun!

Today we're "helping" Mommy clean the house. Woo hoo.

Have a great weekend!

R
