A Happier Post

All is well in San Diego. I am fine. Gramma Jojo is still here. We don't want either of those things to change...

See? I'm fine. Just giving everyone a little priority check.

We're OK

I know we haven't posted much this week. We will, I promise.

I'm also ok. I promise that, too...but I did scare everyone the other day. You can read about it on mommy's page.

We will post more about our adventures with Gramma Jojo when we can. For now, we're just enjoying our time together.

Super Fun Surprise

You're not gonna believe this.

Tonight, Mom and Dad took me out for a special surprise. They didn't tell me where we were going, just that we were going to see a show. I had no idea what this meant.

We ate dinner, left Ryan home with Aunt Sarah, and headed out. I was hopping and skipping through the parking lot. I was excited.

We got our tickets and went into this big building. Then I knew it was something special.

There were kids everywhere! I saw some snack counters and one very exciting booth that had all kinds of Sesame Street stuff. I squealed a little bit and said, "Oh, look at all of this STUFF!" I was so, so happy. I was looking at all of the shirts and stuffed animals and light-up spinny things, and then I spotted it.

A pair of Elmo binoculars. I thought I might like to see them. Then, Mom and Dad said I could HAVE them! (I overheard Mom telling Dad that I had picked the least expensive and most useful thing in the display. Yay me!)

I kinda thought this was my surprise...but it got better. We went and sat down in the big room with seats. I tested out my binoculars for a few minutes while we waited for what Mom kept telling me was the real surprise.

A voice came over the speakers. It sounded like Big Bird. "That's weird," I thought. Mom confirmed that it did, indeed, sound like Big Bird.

Then, it happened. The lights got dark. Some crazy lady came out on the stage. I thought, "Wow, some surprise, Mom." Just as I was about to settle for a pair of Elmo binocs, BIG BIRD CAME OUT ON STAGE. He really did. Then Elmo. Then Bert and Ernie. Then Cookie Monster. Then Abby. Even Oscar...there were others, too.

IT WAS AWESOME. They sang and danced. I sang and danced. I ate Red Vines...as many as I wanted. I checked everything out with my binoculars. Mom kept telling me that I was being sooo good.

What a night!

J

PS - Mom said she's sorry that the videos are sideways...apparently you need to hold the camera sideways to get it right.

Monday

It is only Monday and mommy is tired of me. It's gonna be a long week for her since I can't seem to remember to not do the things she has to keep telling me not to do (like throw things in the pond, chase the dogs, ram things with my dump truck, scream at my brother...)

But we'll have the reward of Gramma Jojo coming on Saturday. Mom said Saturday cannot possibly get here soon enough.

Even though I annoy mommy sometimes, I can still make her laugh. We were looking at our two little fish in the pond this morning and she asked me what I thought their names should be.

Meet "Halibut..." ...and "Troy."
For some reason, they are not afraid of me. Mom says they lack survival skills.

And what would a morning be without teasing the dogs?

How many more days til Saturday???

J

Planting Seeds

Mommy and I planted sunflower seeds in our garden today. Well, I pretty much did all the work...she mostly just told me how to stand so she could take pictures.

And of course, after that I hugged my chickens. People think it's funny that I hug them. I don't get it. No one makes fun of a kid for hugging his dogs, right? I fail to see the difference.

Have a great weekend!

J

It Was Yucky

What ELSE would you expect me to do with it? Mom bought a different kind of dog food this time around, and my discriminating palate noticed the difference right away.

Silly Boy

Baby

Apparently there are TWO babies in our house.

Lazy day at home with mommy...our car is getting fixed so we couldn't go anywhere even if we wanted to!

Have a good day :)

Jake's Pics

I had an assignment today. Mom sent me out with my camera and told me to take pictures of things I like.

Here's what I did:

More Jen & Lincoln...and a Surprise Visitor

Well, OK...this one is me...

We love them so much and feel very, very lucky that they decided to come and play with us. We are already looking forward to the next time we get to see them.

You know what else made us feel lucky? We had a very special visit from Miss Violet! She was just born a few days ago and her SuperWoman mama decided she was ready to come over and play. She even brought over Jack and his daddy. What a fun day!

Love,
R

P.S. I kinda love Violet. She's really pretty. (Molly...Isabella...maybe you need to come see me more often?)
