Weekend Trip

What a weekend! Mom-mom, dada, Aunt Sarah and I all piled into our car on Thursday night and drove north. I was such a good boy in the car! I did not even cry once.

We got close to Monterey that night, and stayed in a motel in Salinas. Salinas smells like broccoli.

Me, mom-mom, dada and Aunt Sarah got up and went to the aquarium in Monterey on Friday morning. That was lots of fun! Here are some pictures from our visit.



Friday after the aquarium we went to Asilomar, the place we were going to be staying at for the weekend. It was a camp built back in the early 1900's and it is such a neat place! We met Grandma and Grandpa Holko there and had a nice dinner and a little party.

Saturday morning I got to stay home with Grandma and the bog kids went back into Monterey and got to see the sea lions! Look how cute they are. I bet I can talk mom-mom into getting one...

We left Sunday morning to begin our drive home. Mom-mom and Aunt Sarah wanted to drive down the coast to see the elephant seals, so that's what we did. They are even cuter than the sea lions! It sure was cold and windy there, though...

That's it for now. We have lots of stuff to catch up on today since we were gone all weekend! First task - find out where the smell of dead rat is coming from. Yay.

Race Car Ya-Yas

Look what mom-mom let me do yesterday! We met daddy at the mall for lunch and I got to DRIVE! And I didn't even crash...

Tonight we are leaving for a little trip. Me, mom-mom, daddy and Auntie Sarah are going to drive up to a place called Monterrey and stay for the weekend! Grandma and Grandpa Holko are going to meet us there tomorrow, too. Mom-mom said she wants to take me to the aquarium to see the jellyfish! We are also going to go and see some seals! I think we'll have some great pictures on Monday...

Just in case we don't get to post anything tomorrow while we are away, I hope everybody has a great weekend!

I love chicks.

Well, I managed to get out of bed before noon today. Quite an accomplishment for such a busy guy, I'm sure you'll agree. Mom-mom makes me help with chores around the house and sometimes I just get so tired...

Here are a few pictures of me taking care of my chicks. They are getting bigger and bigger every day, and they sure do like me a lot.

"Uh, mom-mom? I'm not sure if you are seeing this? My chicken is ON daddy!""Whoa! Peck nicely, girls!"

Mom-mom and I are going to the feed store now so we can get some more chicken food. My chores are never done...

Noon?!?

I slept in til NOON today. Seriously. I JUST got up. And I got up because mom-mom came in and woke me up.

Any other moms out there reading this might think to themselves, "Well, he probably was up late last night." Nope. Went to bed at 8:00.

And of course, I am in a lovely mood and I think I just fought off mom-mom's cold that she was trying to give me.

So...here are a couple of pictures of me eating my breakfast at noon.

For those who have been asking, Obi is ok. Mom-mom changed the dogs' food because their regular stuff was up to $50 a bag, and now she's sorry (once again) that she did it. My poor dogs get dry, itchy skin with any other food. Then they scratch and chew at themselves and get hot spots. Poor pups. But, they are much better (mom found the good food at the feed store!) and hopefully can take the cone off soon. Obi keeps knocking me down with it.

We are gonna go let the chickens run around the yard for a while. We will try to get some videos - it's pretty funny how they like to chase me around! For some reason, they like my dump truck and will follow me all around the backyard.

I have been practicing my acting skills.

If there are any casting calls for cows, sheep, chickens, or sad boys, I am well prepared.

I hope you all had a good weekend. I spent lots of time with mom-mom and dada at home this weekend. It was nice to have dada home and playing with me.

Haircut

Mom-mom gave me a haircut yesterday! I tried to sit still, but it was just too hard. So...it might not be the very BEST haircut I'll ever have. Luckily I'm just so darn cute that no one will notice!

Cookies and cartoons. What a day!

Me and mom-mom both slept in the morning til 9:00! It was really nice to get some extra sleep since I've been getting up VERY early lately.

And, we get to pick daddy up from the airport this afternoon. Very exciting. It was nice that I got to chat with him while he was away, though. Anyone else out there have a webcam? I LOVE chatting on the computer!

Soooo BIG!

How did this happen? How did I get to be such a big boy? I don't even LOOK like a baby anymore! I can eat my breakfast all by myself, with my FORK. I even blow on it to cool it off by myself.
Me and mom-mom had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Holko's house last night. Auntie Sarah was there (YAY!) and so were Sis and Frank, Grandma's friends from the east coast. It sure was fun to have FOUR grandparents playing with me all night. I got to play ball and chase a lot of bubbles. I'm a lucky guy.

Well, me and mom-mom are going to go chase the chickens around for a little while!

I am CRAZY this morning. I got up early, and I've been causing trouble ever since. Early nap for me today!

Oh yeah, and another fantastic thing - I learned to say the word "NO!" And I like to say it all the time. About everything. Really loudly.

Feels like Fall, Finally!

It kinda feels like a fall day today. At least me and mom-mom are trying to convince ourselves of that. It's cloudy and cool and we are still in our pajamas! It has been so hot lately that today is a nice change. Mom-mom said she misses a REAL fall (whatever that is).

So, here's my pajama picture for today. Mom-mom and I have a lot of cartoons to watch now. We'll see you tomorrow!

Dogs and Trucks...

...Those are two things every little boy needs to have.

Here are a few pictures of me playing with my dogs and my truck this morning.

Daddy left early this morning to go to Kentucky again, so me and mom-mom are home alone til Wednesday. We had a little party in mom-mom's bed this morning since daddy wasn't there!

And, today is Uncle Brett's birthday. Mom-mom is making dinner and everyone (except daddy) is coming over to our house for dinner tonight. I'm pretty excited - I know that birthdays mean CAKE!

Troublemaker

I am testing a new theory. My theory is that if I am really cute and I laugh a lot, I can get away with anything.

Here is my experiment from last night.

Step 1: Smile for the camera and prove how cute and innocent I am.Step 2: Look right at mom-mom and yell (she knows this means I am going to do something naughty.)Step 3: Splash a little bit of water to see what the reaction is. Step 4: Splash water around the entire bathroom.
It seems that as long as I smile and laugh while I do bad things, mom-mom and dada smile and laugh, too! I am so clever.

But I made up for my naughty behavior later. After mom-mom had to chase me through the house to get my jammies on, we played for a bit and tried to settle down. Then, I grabbed my blanket, came over to mom-mom and said "night-night." She asked me if I wanted to go to bed (not sure why, since I just TOLD her that) and I told her "yes" again and went into my room and tried to crawl up in my bed. Now THAT'S a good boy.

Welcome to our Morning!

Every morning, mom-mom wakes up to me yelling in my bed. Not crying, just yelling "MOM-MOM! MOM-MOM! AHHYAAAHHHHHH! MOM-MOM!"

So she gets up to get me and we start our day.

Mom-mom always feeds me first. Today I had - you guessed it - Froot Loops! And a banana and some milk.

Then mom-mom feeds the dogs. Obi LOVES this part of the day best of all.

Then she feeds the fish in the pond.

Then she feeds the little birds.

Then she takes the chickens outside for the day and feeds them, too. (Look how big they are getting already! Sadly, not big enough to live outside full-time yet...)

And where am I during all of this morning activity? Am I helping mom-mom?

Am I helpful or what? At least I am in one place for a few minutes!

I hope everybody had a good weekend. I did! I stayed at G & G Holko's house on Thursday and Friday nights while mom=mom and dada went to Palm Springs for their anniversary. They said they had a good time. Here's a picture mom-mom sent me from their trip. I'm not so sure about this...

Well, we're off to start our day!
