Art Therapy

Jake had a relapse.

Yesterday, Mom and I went outside after he went to his room for a nap. We heard him come out but ignored him, figuring he would just go back to bed. He did, but not without doing a little sneaky business first.

When we came back in, we noticed that Jake's little blue stool had moved. It sure looked like someone was trying to get something off of the ledge.

Then Mom remembered what had been sitting there.

We went in to peek at Jake, and sitting there, right on his bedside table, was a binkie. We figured it wasn't too bad since it was just sitting there on the table.

Mom and I thought it was kinda funny. (I think everything Jake does is funny.) Relapse is often part of recovery. He hadn't gone too far...it was just sitting there next to his bed. We laughed about it when Jake got up.

Until Mom went in to pick up his room and found the second binkie sticking out from under his pillow.

He called his sponsor and is again focusing on recovery.

On a lighter note, Mom created a new gallery space to show off our artwork. (***Dad helped.***)

I'm still working on my first collection, so the featured artist this month is Jake Holko. The title of the exhibit is "Preschool in Pictures." It is a collection of the artist's work throughout his first year in preschool. It's pretty impressive.

Have a great day!

Love,
R

Interesting. I had a crazy dream last night that mom designed the gallery space and hired a local contractor to do the work for dirt cheap.

Tell Jake to call Uncle Mic. He can help with these things. He could take him into the woods where there are no blinkies!

As for the gallery, I would like to purchase an item when and if they go up for sale.

Poor Jakey. Well, it could of been worse....at least he's not hiding a pack of smokes in his room. Love the art wall!

I think it's hilarious he put a decoy binkie on the table!
