Weekend Trip

What a weekend! Mom-mom, dada, Aunt Sarah and I all piled into our car on Thursday night and drove north. I was such a good boy in the car! I did not even cry once.

We got close to Monterey that night, and stayed in a motel in Salinas. Salinas smells like broccoli.

Me, mom-mom, dada and Aunt Sarah got up and went to the aquarium in Monterey on Friday morning. That was lots of fun! Here are some pictures from our visit.



Friday after the aquarium we went to Asilomar, the place we were going to be staying at for the weekend. It was a camp built back in the early 1900's and it is such a neat place! We met Grandma and Grandpa Holko there and had a nice dinner and a little party.

Saturday morning I got to stay home with Grandma and the bog kids went back into Monterey and got to see the sea lions! Look how cute they are. I bet I can talk mom-mom into getting one...

We left Sunday morning to begin our drive home. Mom-mom and Aunt Sarah wanted to drive down the coast to see the elephant seals, so that's what we did. They are even cuter than the sea lions! It sure was cold and windy there, though...

That's it for now. We have lots of stuff to catch up on today since we were gone all weekend! First task - find out where the smell of dead rat is coming from. Yay.

Race Car Ya-Yas

Look what mom-mom let me do yesterday! We met daddy at the mall for lunch and I got to DRIVE! And I didn't even crash...

Tonight we are leaving for a little trip. Me, mom-mom, daddy and Auntie Sarah are going to drive up to a place called Monterrey and stay for the weekend! Grandma and Grandpa Holko are going to meet us there tomorrow, too. Mom-mom said she wants to take me to the aquarium to see the jellyfish! We are also going to go and see some seals! I think we'll have some great pictures on Monday...

Just in case we don't get to post anything tomorrow while we are away, I hope everybody has a great weekend!

I love chicks.

Well, I managed to get out of bed before noon today. Quite an accomplishment for such a busy guy, I'm sure you'll agree. Mom-mom makes me help with chores around the house and sometimes I just get so tired...

Here are a few pictures of me taking care of my chicks. They are getting bigger and bigger every day, and they sure do like me a lot.

"Uh, mom-mom? I'm not sure if you are seeing this? My chicken is ON daddy!""Whoa! Peck nicely, girls!"

Mom-mom and I are going to the feed store now so we can get some more chicken food. My chores are never done...

Noon?!?

I slept in til NOON today. Seriously. I JUST got up. And I got up because mom-mom came in and woke me up.

Any other moms out there reading this might think to themselves, "Well, he probably was up late last night." Nope. Went to bed at 8:00.

And of course, I am in a lovely mood and I think I just fought off mom-mom's cold that she was trying to give me.

So...here are a couple of pictures of me eating my breakfast at noon.

For those who have been asking, Obi is ok. Mom-mom changed the dogs' food because their regular stuff was up to $50 a bag, and now she's sorry (once again) that she did it. My poor dogs get dry, itchy skin with any other food. Then they scratch and chew at themselves and get hot spots. Poor pups. But, they are much better (mom found the good food at the feed store!) and hopefully can take the cone off soon. Obi keeps knocking me down with it.

We are gonna go let the chickens run around the yard for a while. We will try to get some videos - it's pretty funny how they like to chase me around! For some reason, they like my dump truck and will follow me all around the backyard.

I hope you all had a good weekend. I spent lots of time with mom-mom and dada at home this weekend. It was nice to have dada home and playing with me.

Haircut

Mom-mom gave me a haircut yesterday! I tried to sit still, but it was just too hard. So...it might not be the very BEST haircut I'll ever have. Luckily I'm just so darn cute that no one will notice!

Cookies and cartoons. What a day!

Me and mom-mom both slept in the morning til 9:00! It was really nice to get some extra sleep since I've been getting up VERY early lately.

And, we get to pick daddy up from the airport this afternoon. Very exciting. It was nice that I got to chat with him while he was away, though. Anyone else out there have a webcam? I LOVE chatting on the computer!
