Look Who's Here!
Finally!
I've been asking Mom every day for the last two weeks, "How many more days til Betsy gets here?"
Well, I got up this morning, and SHE IS HERE!
Even better, she has two cute little kitties that are here, too. Here's Simone....
...and her friend Pee Wee!
Rumor has it Betsy's brother is here somewhere, too...we've haven't been quite noisy enough this morning though, so he's still catching up on some sleep.
We're so, so happy she's here!!!
Love,
J

Boy Zone
In case you are ever at our house looking for us, chances are good that you'll find us in the "Boy Zone.'
We have all the good toys over there.
See?
Lots of dirt to be moved...
Luckily, this guy is a hard worker.
The supervisors are watching from their office.
If only my legs were a bit longer, I'd be able to pedal this thing by myself.
Something stinks over here...
...and it's this guy. He smells like a skunk. AGAIN.
Back to work.
Love,
R

Start of Summer
I don't know when summer actually starts, but as far as I'm concerned it started today.
Today was Jake's last day of school til next fall.
We get to have him home with us EVERY hour of EVERY day for months on end. Isn't that awesome?
Well, I think it's pretty awesome. That guy is so funny. He teaches me gross stuff and we laugh. Just the other night, he taught me how to make fart sounds. Yeah. See what I mean? That guy is so cool!
Mom just might have to post a video of it, actually...but for now, here's me.
Anyone notice anything different about me?
Yep, Mom cut off that ducktail that was growing out of the back of my head. It was cute when it was just a curl, but lately it was looking more like cotton candy than curls.
To celebrate summer, we're headed to the beach in the morning!

I SAAAIIID...
...something. I totally understand what I'm saying. And I'm really proud of myself, too.
If you don't understand what I'm saying, that's your problem.
Obviously, Mom gets me. See? Got what I wanted.
And this one here, he totally gets Mom. He knows just how to get what he wants, too.
And since I had a popsicle, it's not too hard to guess what he wanted.
So what if it's breakfast time?
Happy Friday!

Amazing Video
Mom thinks this is an amazing video.
What's causing her to be so shocked, you might ask. Well, she said something about how amazing it was that we were playing together nicely. And not JUST nicely. Quietly.
Don't know what she's talking about. We're always nice. And quiet.
And it's opposite day.
Happy Wednesday.

Weekend Playtime
We had a great weekend. We're finally getting back into our regular routine after being away and then having our special visitor (we miss you, Aunt Candy!).
On Saturday, Daddy took us to the "Touch-a-Truck" event and we got to play in and on all sorts of cool vehicles. Of course, we have no pictures of this, but I promise, it was super cool. Jake's buddy Noah happened to be there, too!
Sunday morning, we headed over to the park to play for a little while. Sport of the day? Soccer!
The grass was pretty interesting. I really played more of a "spectator" role.
Tried out a few yoga poses, too...
Jake was soooo tired. (Jake is soooo dramatic.)
Even Daddy went down the slides with us! (Doesn't he look like he's having an awesome time?!)
Mom snapped a bunch of pictures of us boys together. Here are some of her favorites!
After playing, we headed over to In-n-Out for lunch. Jake and I had our usual: a grilled cheese, fries, and chocolate shakes.
He's a clown.
We hope you had a good weekend, too!

Oh My...
Has it really been almost a month since Mom posted anything here?
Well, we're back in San Diego. We've actually been back home for a week. Somehow that week has flown by faster than you'd think.
I think it's partly because we've had Aunt Candy visiting! We we really lucky and she flew back here with us when we left Buffalo, and she's been here with us for most of the week. We've done lots of fun things...and not taken pictures of any of them.
We did attempt a little nature walk on Monday morning and Mom actually brought her camera.
We started out having a good time. It was a beautiful, sunny morning.
Then Ryan sat down on the trail. Seemed like fun for a few minutes, but then the stinker refused to get up.
He started throwing a pretty ginormous tantrum, scaring off wildlife for miles around. So, Mom turned around to head back to the car and Candy and I ventured onward.
Strangely, before Mom and Ryan ever made it back to the car, we met up with them at the beginning of the trail. We took a wrong turn at Albuquerque, I guess. It was still a fun day.
We also planted our veggie garden with Aunt Candy. It's pretty awesome that people who come out to visit us tend to help with projects. Since Daddy (and his team) did such a great job of finishing up the new wall around the side of our house, we we able to find space for a huge veggie garden!
Mom built us a teepee this morning. We planted bean seeds around it so hopefully it will turn into a cool little place for us to play.
And since we're sharing garden photos, check out these huge volunteer squashy-things we have. They popped up from the compost Mom spread out earlier this year, and we've been excited to see what would grow on them.
Here is the first thing we harvested from the volunteer plants. Looks suspiciously like a gourd we had last Halloween...
We're going to enjoy our last few hours with Aunt Candy, but we'll post more pictures later...provided Mom takes some.

J
