Mountain Men

Phew! it's been a busy week.

It started with picking Uncle Mick up from the airport last Friday. We had SO much fun playing with him while he was here. We even got to go camping.

Little boys. Big tree.

Collecting stuff.

Looking out for ostriches. (I announced to Uncle Mick that there was an ostrich in our campsite. He thought it might be a turkey. We decided it was funnier to call them ostriches.)

Ryan right before he crashed.

All camped out.

Uncle Mickey making fire.

Or at least making smoke. Turns out, the saying "where there's smoke, there's fire" isn't always true...

The cabin.

Helping Uncle Mick.

Daddy bow drilling. It took some practice...

...but he got it!

Probably the last fire Dad will ever start in this way. (We won't re-tell the story here to save Dad from any further embarrassment...but let's just say we better not ever run out of matches.)

Me and my Dad.

Direct quote: "Hey guys! Those clouds look like boobs!"

Ryan at the ice cream parlor. He looks suspiciously like Gary Busey.

A little llama drama on the streets of Julian.

Nice teeth.

I love him.

Me and Ryan, dancing out in the field.

Checking stuff out under the big tree.

Ryan was trying to sneak something out of Dad's pocket.

The inside of the cabin. It was so nice...but I didn't sleep in there. I slept in a tent with Uncle Mick.

That's it for camping photos. We are back home now. We took Uncle Mick back to the airport on Tuesday.

We were pretty sad to see him leave, but we headed right back to the airport Wednesday morning to pick up Uncle Brian, Lindsay, and Carleigh!!!

We have been having an awesome time playing together already. We'll post some more pics of our fun later.

The Best Packages

Since we are so awesome, people sometimes send us packages full of treasures. Candy, cookies, toys...you name it, we've gotten it!

Here's a bit of advice for anyone considering sending us a package anytime soon:

Our favorite part of any package is the bubble wrap.

We're looking forward to tomorrow. We have a special package arriving (hopefully not wrapped in bubble wrap, though). Uncle Mick will be here tomorrow morning! It's gonna be so much fun!

Oh, I love my brother!

I love to JUMP on him.

What? he likes it.

(Yes, pictures are blurry...we're moving too fast this morning!)

Monday Again?

How is it Monday again? Where are these days going?

Anyway, here's a Monday Dance Video. Enjoy.

Farm Boys

My, what a busy couple of weeks we've had!

Jacob finished up swimming lessons last week...BIG NEWS: He can swim! Mom watched him swim right across the pool. She thought it was pretty amazing. No pictures of this, of course.

This weekend was full of parties. Grandma Susan and Grandpa Ken celebrated their 40th anniversary on the 14th, and we had a giant party here at our house. It was really cool. Jake and I were the ONLY kids here, and boy, did we get a lot of attention! I suppose that's what we should have expected from a place filled up with grandmas and grandpas. It was also cool because we ate snacks all night and stayed up until way past bedtime.

Somehow Mom never found time to take any pictures after this one she snapped of me sneaking my first brownie...

Sunday, we met even MORE grandparents when Uncle Darren's mom and dad came over. They are lots and lots of fun!

After all of that partying, we stayed home all day today. We spent lots of time outside and checked out our garden. Here are some pictures mom took of us showing off our stuff!

(If it looks like I am laughing at a wiener joke, it's because I am. That brother of mine sure is funny!)

 That's better.

Eatin' peas, straight from the garden!

He's cute, isn't he?

Some leftover decorations from the party, but we figure we'll just leave them up and then it's a party every day!

We haven't posted a chicken-chasing picture in a while...

Our teepee is looking good! There are some very crazy beans growing in there and they are almost as big as me.

Mom called Jacob over so that there would be some scale and you could see just how huge these beans are growing on our teepee...but I think his outfit is a little distracting, don't you?

That is all. Hopefully we'll have more downtime this week and can get some more silly pictures up here!

Pests

We cannot figure out why Mom say s we are 'pests.' Does anyone know what this word means?

She's just sitting there, staring at that computer screen...

This weekend, Mom and Dad actually did get a lot of things done. Wait til you see how cool my room is going to be when they are done! I've got a cool new spot to play in my closet and Mom is working on a giant chalkboard wall now. We'll post some pics soon...

Happy Monday!

Bubbles and Stuff

Mom and Dad scored big the other night when they stopped at the store. There was a package of 25 different bubble wands...all for $4.99! Since Dad likes bubbles almost as much as we do, he approved this purchase and it's been bubble-mania in our yard ever since.

Ryan likes blowing bubbles. He can even SAY "bubbles!"

I, of course, am really good at blowing bubbles.

Not as good as Daddy, though. Check this out - two at once!

Ryan is impressed.

I think the only one who likes bubbles more than us is this guy...

And, in other news, Mom finally ordered my artwork book. We haven't gotten it yet, but they let you put up a cool preview! Check it out...

I also had my first real sleepover last night.  My friend stayed over last night. We watched a movie, read stories, and went to bed in my room. We were so good that Mom said I can have my friend over any time!

Now, we're off to the beach for some playtime.
