But the good kind, for sure.
On Wednesday, Kelly and Sabrina came over to play. Jake LOVES Sabrina.
Right now, him being three and all, he loves her because she's really fun to play with...
But, Mom suspects that he's going to still love her when he's a little bit older, too.
So that was our day on Wednesday.
Last night we packed up a picnic and went to watch Daddy's softball game. It was really a lot of fun. It was still so warm out at night (like 85 degrees at 7pm), so we just hung out on our picnic blanket, ate snacks, and cheered Daddy on. Jake really got into the whole cheering thing.
After the game, we walked over to the playground for a little while. On the way there, Mom and Jacob found a great big grassy hill. Then Mom did something crazy. She got down on the ground and started rolling down the hill! Jake tried it and was immediately sold on the idea. They even got Dad to do it and Mommy laughed so hard she almost peed in her pants. Dad looked and sounded like a cartoon character rolling down that hill. So fun!
Today we're "helping" Mommy clean the house. Woo hoo.
Have a great weekend!

If Fluffy Had a Brother...
...he might look something like this:
(Note from Mom: This is not some cool new photoshop effect I'm testing out in those first few photos...I had my camera on the wrong setting and didn't notice it until Ryan was all hot and sweaty and DONE with the pictures. I did my best to make them look at least OK, but the color is funky.)
Love,
R

Redemption
Mom redeemed herself last night.
She was feeling really, really bad about the whole no costume thing.
So she let me eat KitKats.
Seriously, have you tried these things? I was like, "Mom, you're really gonna let me EAT this?"
OMG. These are awesome.
YOU are forgiven.
Now gimme some more!
And this guy...well, he can go right ahead with that whole trick-or-treating thing. Just bring home the loot, big brother. Bring it home to me.
Or I'll bite your head.
Life is good.
Love,
R

Bad Mom
Mom is mean. Apparently she thinks that babies aren't into the whole Halloween thing because they went out trick-or-treating last night without me. Yes, I was already crying because I was tired. Yes. Grandma Susan was here and gave me a nice bath and lots of snuggles. Yes, my costume was too small for me.
This is where you should pause and understand why mom is mean. Don't you think she should maybe have checked to see it my costume fit, you know, BEFORE Halloween?
She said she just ran out of time to do costume modifications yesterday. Something about making cupcakes, pumpkin pie and pumpkin gnocchi for dinner...she made some sort of creepy bread that looked like fingers, too. Gross.
So for anyone who was looking forward to seeing me in my Halloween costume, sorry. Mom sucks. I guess this is what happens when you are the second kid.
She did promise me a Ryan and Mommy only day tomorrow, though. We're gonna make that costume work and we'll get lots of pictures then.
For now, here are a few from our friend Jack's party that we went to on Saturday. It was so much fun. There were even kids there for me to play with!
And a video from this morning. Can you tell Jake had Skittles for breakfast?
Hope you had a fun Halloween weekend. Jake did.

Jake-O-Lanterns
Dad, Ryan and I picked up some pumpkins on the way home tonight. After dinner, we worked on a Halloween project together!
Halloween is coming!
