Jake's Pics

It's been a while since we looked at the pictures on Jake's camera.

Here are a few of the best...

There are also lots of pictures of the walls and the floor, but we'll save those for another day.

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. It's only four days til my birthday. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Go Fish!

Some smart people on our street gave out "stuff" instead of candy for Halloween. Someone gave me this little deck of cards that are made for playing the game WAR.

Mom was pretty happy when I said I wanted to learn how to play. She said she remembers playing this game with her Grampa Ken all the time, and that makes her smile. I actually can't believe she didn't think to teach me this game before now, because it sure is fun! We played A LOT.

Then Daddy taught me another game, and that was even more fun than War! We played Go Fish together and I am SO good at that game.

Happy Monday!

Trouble

But the good kind, for sure.

On Wednesday, Kelly and Sabrina came over to play. Jake LOVES Sabrina.

Right now, him being three and all, he loves her because she's really fun to play with...

But, Mom suspects that he's going to still love her when he's a little bit older, too.

So that was our day on Wednesday.

Last night we packed up a picnic and went to watch Daddy's softball game. It was really a lot of fun. It was still so warm out at night (like 85 degrees at 7pm), so we just hung out on our picnic blanket, ate snacks, and cheered Daddy on. Jake really got into the whole cheering thing.

After the game, we walked over to the playground for a little while. On the way there, Mom and Jacob found a great big grassy hill. Then Mom did something crazy. She got down on the ground and started rolling down the hill! Jake tried it and was immediately sold on the idea. They even got Dad to do it and Mommy laughed so hard she almost peed in her pants. Dad looked and sounded like a cartoon character rolling down that hill. So fun!

Today we're "helping" Mommy clean the house. Woo hoo.

Have a great weekend!

Jake-O-Lanterns

Dad, Ryan and I picked up some pumpkins on the way home tonight. After dinner, we worked on a Halloween project together!

Scooping the guts, which I didn't love.

My mom is terrible and told me to taste the pumpkin.

Mom promised that these would taste good after she did some stuff to them...

We have several Chewy pictures from Halloweens past that look exactly like this one.

My own design

I even got to cut!

Check them out! Mine is the one on top.

Halloween is coming!

It's So Cold!

Actually, it's about a million degrees here today. The thermometer already says 95. It's 9:00 in the morning.

So I figured a nice, warm hat would be appropriate. It totally goes with my naked bottom half.

Mom thought she was making this for herself, but it looks better on me!

We're headed out to the beach for a while to cool off. Have a good day!

Video Friday

Here's a video for you...me, singing an African song that I heard two weeks ago.

Mom thought it was pretty amazing that I remembered it and could sing it. In case you want to sing along,

"Funga alafia. Ashe! Ashe!"

Please feel free to correct us if we are wrong, but the guy who taught us the song said it was a West African folk song that means "welcome neighbors, peace to you."

Have a great weekend!

T-Ball All Stars

This morning I went to sports class. It was t-ball day! I was really excited to get to play baseball. I've never actually played baseball before, but it sure sounded like fun. I wore my hat, just to be prepared.

When it was my turn up to bat, I selected my bat, walked up to the ball, and cracked it like a pro. Mom cheered, I ran to first base, and it was pretty awesome. I got to bat a whole bunch of times, and I hit it really far every time. Then it was pitching practice. Mom and I threw the ball back and forth. Of course, I threw the ball really well, too. (We're working on the whole catching thing.)

Mom said I can thank Dad for my natural abilities. She also said I could thank Dad for the fact that after about 7 minutes I decided I was feeling pretty tired and decided I would just go sit down and rest for a while. Something about motivation...

Anyways, here are a few pictures of me and my best buddy. We have a lot of fun together.

Daddy is headed out in the morning for his big fishing trip with Grandpa and Uncle Brett. We sure are gonna miss him.

Sorry, Dad

I convinced Mom, after asking about 35 times this morning, to do it. I know Dad won't like it, but mom and I decided there's nothing wrong with this.

Besides, the blue fingernail polish matches my toes!

Blue nails are fun. Just think, I could have chosen pink!

In other news, 'That Baby' has at least one tooth (it's hard to tell...there might be two) and he started actually crawling around on the floor. Good for him, I guess. I have blue fingernails.

Love,
J
