Video Friday

It's been quite a week.

Monday, we played with our friend Megan all day.

Tuesday, we went to the feed store and got to pet the goats. Then Aunt Sarah came over for dinner.

Wednesday, Mom took us to the zoo for the afternoon. (She posted the following to Facebook later in the day: "I took the boys to the zoo this afternoon figuring the zookeepers would surely recognize these wild animals and keep them. No such luck. At least they are both exhausted." We don't think that's funny, Mom.) That night, we went to the library and saw a magician. He might not have been very tricky, but he was pretty funny. We played with friends at the playground after, too.

Thursday was sports class again. This week: basketball! I did really well. Ryan, not so much, He must not like the people in the daycare center at the YMCA because he only lasts about 20 minutes before they come to get Mom. What a baby. Then we went to water plants for our out-of-town family.

And now it's Friday. So let's dance!

Let the countdown til Dad's return begin!

Love, to all,
J

Cookie Monsters

Yesterday, Mom and I made cookies. I was a really good helper.

I think we should make cookies every day. That was fun.

Teeth!

Now we realize that these pictures don't very clearly show the two litle teeth that I have in my mouth, but you can kinda see them through the drool.

And this one has no teeth, but everyone needs to see a picture of a baby smiling.

And just in case you were not lucky enough to have already seen this gem Mom posted on Facebook last night, here it is again.

The best part? When Mom replayed this video later, Jake came running over and yelled at her to stop that terrible sound. I think she called him a jackass.

Here's to making today even better than yesterday...

Just Because

Cruise Fund

Mom and Dad have been throwing change into this big jar for years. There must be a million dollars in there by now!

Mom and I decided our project while Dad is away would be to count out all of the coins and roll them up.

I am surprisingly good at separating the coins out. I'm really good at stacking them up, too...but Mom found it's better if she does the counting herself.

I helped Mom put the coins into paper rolls. What a fun project!

We are pretty sure dad is going to be pleasantly surprised when he finds out how much money really is in the jar. He brought us home $180 worth of paper coin rolls, figuring that would be enough. We finished those off in about 35 minutes this morning...

Have a good weekend!

Love,
J

T-Ball All Stars

This morning I went to sports class. It was t-ball day! I was really excited to get to play baseball. I've never actually played baseball before, but it sure sounded like fun. I wore my hat, just to be prepared.

When it was my turn up to bat, I selected my bat, walked up to the ball, and cracked it like a pro. Mom cheered, I ran to first base, and it was pretty awesome. I got to bat a whole bunch of times, and I hit it really far every time. Then it was pitching practice. Mom and I threw the ball back and forth. Of course, I threw the ball really well, too. (We're working on the whole catching thing.)

Mom said I can thank Dad for my natural abilities. She also said I could thank Dad for the fact that after about 7 minutes I decided I was feeling pretty tired and decided I would just go sit down and rest for a while. Something about motivation...

Anyways, here are a few pictures of me and my best buddy. We have a lot of fun together.

Daddy is headed out in the morning for his big fishing trip with Grandpa and Uncle Brett. We sure are gonna miss him.

Sorry, Dad

I convinced Mom, after asking about 35 times this morning, to do it. I know Dad won't like it, but mom and I decided there's nothing wrong with this.

Besides, the blue fingernail polish matches my toes!

Blue nails are fun. Just think, I could have chosen pink!

In other news, 'That Baby' has at least one tooth (it's hard to tell...there might be two) and he started actually crawling around on the floor. Good for him, I guess. I have blue fingernails.

J
